On 1 July, the Slovenian Delegation published their six- month work program for the Council presidency. The program details Slovenia's main priorities and guidelines for its activities during the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU from 1 July to 31 December 2021. The program includes the following key points:
Artificial intelligence, data and the roaming regulation files
Cyber-security, particularly concerning the western Balkan states
Reaching a common agreement in Council on the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act
Several key technology conferences will take place in September
Senior and expert officials have been placed in leadership roles in the COMPET Council
The priorities for the Slovenian Presidency are set out in four chapters:
The resilience and recovery of the European Union. A strategically autonomous European Union
The Conference on the Future of Europe
A Union of the European way of life, the rule of law and equal criteria for all
A credible and secure European Union. A union that is capable of ensuring security and stability in its neighborhood.
