In its Communication to the European Green Deal, the European Commission committed to the adoption of a new Circular Economy Action Plan by Q1 2020 in order to speed up the EU’s transition towards a more circular economy.
On 23 December 2019, the European Commission unveiled its roadmap dedicated to the circular economy and invited stakeholders to submit feedback by 20 January 2020.
The CRM Alliance has submitted its observations on the relevance of circular economy measures to critical raw materials in the following main points:
Respect for Critical Raw Materials Classification;
Critical Raw Materials in the Mine-to-Market Value Chain;
Safety and performance;
Critical Raw Materials enable a Green Economy.
