U.S. launches strategy to mitigate supply risks associated with Critical Minerals

On 04 June 2019, the U.S. Administration published “A Federal Strategy to Ensure Secure and Reliable Supplies of Critical Minerals”.


The strategy stresses the importance of mitigating supply risks associated with the critical minerals.


The report identifies six calls for action focusing on advancing research and development efforts, increasing domestic activity across the supply chain, enhancing international trade and cooperation, locating new domestic sources, streamlining permitting and increasing the U.S. critical minerals workforce.
